Aftershock – Israeli Defense Force in the Occupied Territories

This is a short (23 minutes) documentary of IDF soldiers in the Palestinian occupied territories. It’s directed by a former IDF paratrooper and follows the story of soldiers active during the first Intifada and some of the same soldiers now retired from service.

The documentary began as a military endorsed project, though it was scrapped by officials and was completed by Yariv Horowitz over a decade later.

The film combines explosive interviews with soldiers in Nablus in 1991 as well as their perpective ten years later.
